Peace One Day
Seems fitting to break my blogging hiatus to post this video. I watched this entire film, and actually cried for a couple minutes as it reached it’s conclusion–still trying to figure out exactly why I had such a strong and rare (for me) emotional response to this.
Pray for the financial powers that be…
…granted there is much more to these financially turbulent times than meets the eye, but the choices by those in power will have a direct impact on how the next two years unfold.
I ran across this article which gives some interesting perspectives and insight into what law makers on Capital Hill and the Federal Reserve [...]
Ice skating and Pizza!
That was what we did on Sunday, May 4th–our 5th wedding anniversary! Our idea this year was to go back to a few of the places we visited during our honeymoon. We took our kids with us and had a blast. Here’s some photographic proof.
We first took Shani ice skating back [...]
Happy Birthday Smichelles
You’re a great friend and a loving shepherdess, a kind soul and an amazing teacher. There’s so many things our girls do well because of your faithfulness in teaching and training them, or helping us to know how to better teach and train them. I can’t count the times I’ve had great conversations [...]
Kyla is 4 and Shani is 2
In case you hadn’t heard our two girls were due within the last few weeks for congratulations on their completion of 2 and 4 years of life respectively. We decided to celebrate with a “sort of” Manners Manor luncheon. Heh, what were we thinking, right? All the kids coming to the party [...]
The hobby of consumerism

Aren’t cell phone sales people some of the most immoral customer reps in the retail business? (Disclaimer: Of course they can never compete with used car sales persons for the all time top position.)
From first and second hand experience I’ve seen them straight out lie to make a sale–”Oh you don’t want to buy [...]
Gallery2 is vexing me greatly
I’m almost at the point of completely uninstalling Gallery2 from this blog. No matter how I upload a new album I end up with broken thumbnails, and when I try to “rebuild” the thumbs I end up with more broken ones. I think it has to do with my hosting not allowing me [...]
Is the beach for privates?
I went jogging today for the first time since we moved to Baja. My destination–the beach about a half mile from our abode. Shouldn’t be too hard right? Well, yes and no.
Leaving our house the rhythm of my feet carrying me swiftly and succinctly across the ground was exhilarating. As my shoes [...]
Shooting the breeze…mostly
The day started like any other when you’re going on an expedition to a sports activity on your day off. We got up at the bright and early hour of 8am”had to set an alarm for that. Within the hour we were off to team up with a rambunctious group of like minded [...]
