Cascades of color splash,
in folds of splendor.

My love for you unfolds,
like petals of a flower.

Discovered as a tiny bud,
a humble tower.

It's beauty disguised,
hidden it's wonder.

Began to bloom,
sweet fragrance exude.

A sparkle in the eye,
a love song's tune.

Love overflowed,
our hearts out of room.

Our emotions exposed,
souls in the nude.

Love raises the sun,
in our love's day

The petals part,
new petals are found.

Time is a blur,
the tower is crowned.

Love has been here,
resounds our bouquet.

Rose has bloomed,
love has just begun.

Aromas so sweet,
permeate fresh air.

Discovery never over,
the petals fall there.

Perfume left behind,
never undone.

My heart is forever,
enchanted, entranced.

On an enchanted scent,
our love's existence.

Valid forever, no matter
time or distance.

One petal at a time,
our love enhanced.

Variety is in…

Wednesday, March 29th, 2006

Life, it seems, is not nearly as fun without variety. In the weakness of human nature it’s way too easy to shoot down, or be irritated by the little quirks and idiosyncrasies that make people unique.
Somebody said something recently that really made an impression on me “When you have a home where everybody really dedicates […]

Why it’s been so quiet…

Saturday, March 25th, 2006

Well, I could give you a long list enumerating the evils of a dial-up internet connection but that really isn’t a valid argument at all, so I won’t go there.  But I have been telling myself, I’ll post more often once we have broadband.  Only God really knows when that’ll be.
One semi-valid reason is that […]

Kyla Bargaining

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

Last night after dinner, while trying to teach Kyla how to play shop with Ella, I made an amazing discovery. My 2 year old daughter could out-haggle even the most determined Chinese produce vendor. (Yes, I’m exaggerating, but it’s fun to do…you should try it sometime.)
Anyway, Kyla has these little Chuck E. Cheese tickets […]

Psalms 55:12-14 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it; neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man of mine equal, my guide, and mine aquaintance. We took […]

And I fail so miserably

Wednesday, March 1st, 2006

I find myself wondering who I am. Made of clay, doomed for eternity, or the gift of weights destined to fly to infinity? I didn’t mean for that to rhyme I really didn’t, it just came out that way. And that’s just it, what started this whole train of thought.
I try so hard to […]
